Your dream wedding. Be a trendsetter and plan the wedding you have always dreamed of. This blog will cover theme weddings (at exotic destinations, at the beach, seasonal weddings, etc.), the latest wedding trends, including newest styles, the hottest colors, the latest "in" things, and the hottest destinations. Wedding plans in every price range will be featured as well as "green" themes for the environmentally-conscious. Celebrity weddings and important wedding news will also be covered.

I'm a freelance writer, editor and pro blogger who loves to write about fashion, beauty, hair care, weddings, knitting, parenting, child care and freelance writing.

Happily married since 1996, I haven't had to plan my own wedding in a long time. However, with so many new trends popping up all the time, it's hard to not want to get married all over again (every year!). Since I'm not trying to outdo Elizabeth Taylor in the wedding department, I have to satisfy my romantic side writing White Lace Wedding.

I'm here to provide advice and information about your Big Day. Even though it seems disaster will strike (your dress doesn't fit, the caterer baked a lemon, not chocolate cake, etc.), it's all about trying to stay stress-free and enjoying the planning until you take that important walk down the aisle.

My name is Ruth Schaffer and I'll be keeping you updated on the latest news and developments in Biotechnology, Allergies and Pregnancy. I have a Master's Degree in Microbiology and previously been been teaching at the University of the Philippines. I also spent more than five years at the International Rice Research Institute, working on paddy soil microbiology and biochemistry, followed by a brief stint in a university in Germany working on iron-reducing bacteria from marine sediments.
