What To Do With That Dress - Part 1
Filed in archive Bridal Style on March 2, 2007

I've been reading some interesting articles and blog posts lately about wedding gown preservation and alternatives. For years, the first thing a bride did after her honeymoon was to have her gown cleaned and boxed to keep it in perfect condition for years to come in hopes of someday passing it down to their children. Today, this is changing. Styles rarely stick around for that long, and brides are wondering why they are spending a great deal of money on a dress they will wear once, only to pack it way in the back of their closest for decades to come in hopes that one day it just might be in style when, coincidentally, their daughter or granddaughter decides to get married.
So, over the next few weeks, I will be writing a series of posts with ideas for things you can do with your gown after the wedding other then basic preservation. I will share ideas I have heard tossed around the internet, companies that offer unique options, some of my own ideas, and more.
So, bookmark this blog and check back for that, and other great posts to come! If you have a unique idea you want me to share, just leave it in the comments:)Watch for the first post in this series tomorrow.
