I'll admit it - I am a DIY addict! Sometimes, my projects turn out great - other times not so much. I have a art piece in the bathroom that I made by painting a canvas chocolate brown and sprinkling pink paint on it. Very modern, and I thought, very creative. The first time hubby say it he said "I hope you didn't pay for that". No, I made it, thank you very much. Yes, he apologized, lol.
So anyway, I am planning to do a lot of DIY projects for my wedding. We are making Save the Date CD's, invitations, programs, favors, the bamboo arch, centerpieces, even silk flower bouquets! It isn't always cheaper, but it is a lot more personal. I was on WeddingBee last week and Miss bell pepper shared her DIY Fan Programs (inspired by the photo above). You can see the ones she made on her post. I fell in love instantly - I just love the way they look hanging off the back of the chair like that. She also shared the link to the template she used to make them with makes this complicated looking project actually very very simple!
Is anyone else attempting a few DIY projects for their wedding?

You hubby is so good in tickling your funny bone isn’t he? So, for your DIY wedding projects make sure that your sweet hubby approves everything before finalizing them. It will be best if you show him a sample. You may also request him to work with you while everything is going on.
