Wedding Crashers

Wedding-themed TV sitcoms seem to be the next big thing - and tonight, NBC brought us yet another one. The Real Wedding Crashers aired this evening, and I was able to sit and enjoy the first episode. The show, by the same team that created PUNKED, involves a team of 5 wedding crashers who partner with couples to play tricks on the guests before and during the wedding.

Unlike Punked, this show involves an entire series of pranks that all come together at the end of the wedding. In this first episode, the Crashers teamed with the Bride and Groom to pull a number of pranks. The first prank finds the best man "damaging" the bridal gown - it's a set up of course - but he spends the entire wedding believing her gown is a tea length because he wrecked the bottom of the gown just days before! Other pranks included an arrest, exterminators, a preacher with a cell phone, a dropped wedding cake, a guest who gets a little to friendly and even a waiter who steals food from the guests' plates!!

I don't think I would want to willingly have my wedding crashed, but I have to admit, it was a blast watching the guests trying to figure out what was going on. The Real Wedding Crashers airs Mondays on NBC- check local listings for show times.
