We're all on a budget - your budget may be $5000, it may be $50,000, it may be $500,000 - but it's still a budget. According to the Bridal Association of America the average budget for a 2007 wedding will be $27,710. Last year, the average bride spent $1505 on her dress, $274 for a veil and $333 on various accessories - a total of $2112 for her bridal attire. The average bride also spent almost as much on flowers - $1970.
Cost Of Weddings has a great online calculator that uses your zip code to determine what the average wedding cost in your location and even breaks it down into categories for you.
For example, the average wedding in 90210 (I know, dumb choice, but it is the only one I could think of off the top of my head, lol): $32,400.
Why should you care? Because - no matter what your budget, it is a good idea to plan what you will spend where and knowing what things cost on average will help you determine how your budget should be allocated.
