What are you going to do with your wedding gown after the big day? Store it lovingly in plastic and hang it in the back of your closet where it never again sees the light of day? Or, will you pose for some photos in it while romping through a cool stream, sporting knee-high boots or rollicking around in an autumn leaves setting?
If you choose the second option, maybe you're into Trash the Dress photography.
The first time I heard of this relatively new trend was a couple of years ago. Trash the Dress brides want to do something besides wear their gowns down the aisle-they want to have fun with them even after the wedding is over.
Pictured above is Lucy, and as you can see, Lucy isn't afraid of getting her dress a little dirty. Plus, she looks like she's having a ball!

The message behind trashing your wedding dress is that you've made a lifelong commitment and are never going to wear the dress again (besides, who wears the same wedding dress twice? Three times??), so instead of treating it like an ancient relic, frolic in it and take some photos while you're at it.
