Think Pink for October

Today kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so throughout October, I'm going to fit in pink as much as I can in relation to weddings. If you're getting married this month and one of your colors is pink in honor of the month, kudos for being aware of how many people this disease affects.

I found a site that sells wedding favors and gifts that promote awareness of breast cancer. Healing Ribbons donates 100% of their post-tax profits from purchases in the Healing Ribbons Collection to breast cancer education.

You have your choice of:

* Bracelets
* Keychains
* and more

You can also request that guests donate to the fund in lieu of gifts. I know that wouldn't work for everyone, but if this is your second or subsequent marriage, or even if it's your first and you already have much of the household goods you need, this is a great way to contribute to a worthy cause and make your guests feel good, too.
