The Little Ring Bearer
Filed in archive Something Different by Crystal Unrau on August 19, 2007
Most people don't send the ring bearer down the aisle with the real rings any more - it's just to risky. Usually, they carry a little pillow with fake rings just so they get to feel important. Many brides are also choosing to do things differently and have them carry other things rather then pillows. Here are some great examples:

- Small toys or stuffed animals - I remember one wedding on WeddingBee recently where the Bride purchased little stuffed Spiderman dolls for the ring bearers to carry down the aisle. This gave them something to keep them busy during the ceremony as well. I have seen teddy bears used in other weddings as well, sometimes with rings tied around their necks with a ribbon or in it's paws like the one shown below (from Jean M)

- Cars/Trucks - I personally love this idea. A fireman could have rings carried down in a toy fire truck for example. I have also seen classic and antique model cars used in place of traditional pillows as well.

- The Pewter Ring - The pewter ring is another great example, shown here from Jean M. What I love about this one is that it makes a great, hangable keepsake afterwards as well.
