Wedding Favors
by Crystal Unrau on February 11, 2007
Generally, holiday-themed weddings come off fairly tacky - but when done right, a holiday themed wedding can be VERY unique and perfectly elegant. The key to doing it tastefully is moderation. For example, a St. Patrick's Day wedding theme can very quickly turn into "night at the bar" but a green and gold wedding with a few themed accents would be quite lovely. For example personalize invitations and programs with 4 leaf clovers on them or tuck four leaf clovers into your bouquet and centerpieces for good luck. Another idea I really like is a pot of gold favor - take a look at two little pots I found online:

The first one comes from the Oriental Trading CO. It is 2 3/4" wide and sells for $3/dozen. The second one comes from the Baking Shop and sells for $7/dozen, each 2 1/4" wide. One of these pots, with a few gold chocolate coins tucked inside, would make a wonderful favor. You can personalize each one with ribbon and a tag with your names and a special message.
