Something Borrowed...

Filed in archive Something Different , Wedding Tradition by Del on July 24, 2008

Now we're on what you'd like to borrow. This can be so many things. I borrowed my mom's pearls when I got married - diamonds and pearls seem to be wedding day favorites, but since I've already covered jewelry, let's try something different.

Weddings can be pretty emotional. Even if you don't consider yourself the weepy type, don't be surprised if you're a blubbery mess by the end of the day (waterproof mascara is a must!). What with all of the stressful buildup leading to the day and having many of your loved ones all in one place and finally bringing all of your dreams to culmination, it's no wonder you're crying.

Borrow a handkerchief. Hopefully, someone you know is of an age where they can still appreciate the fine art of handkerchiefs and pocket squares. This isn't a time to pull out a Kleenex; it's a time to be a real lady and sob into a lace-edged hankie (extra points for monogramslinks).

If you already know that you're likely to soak through one handkerchief, consider borrowing two.
