Katy Perry is planning a small, intimate wedding. She and boyfriend Russell Brand just wants the most important people in their lives to be present at the wedding ceremony.

But they are planning a 'big and fat' and extravagant wedding reception in order to accommodate those who can't make it to the wedding ceremony.

According to Katy Perry:

"I always have a ton of people around me. And I think the people that are going to share this moment with us are the people we want to integrate into each other's lives.

We want it to be about the love, so sometimes to be about the love, we have to take them out of their comfort zone."

I always admire celebrities who prefer small, intimate weddings...as it makes it more real.
