November 10 will mark the 60th anniversary for Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip - the first time a reigning monarch has every reached 60 years of marriage! The wedding, which took place in the Westminster Abbey in 1947, is currently being recreated to commemorate the occasion.
The display at buckingham palace, which will be open to the public from July 28th to September 2nd, will include archive films of the ceremony. Items worn at the ceremony will be available to view including the dresses worn by her grandmother Mary, and the Queen Mother. The bride's gown, a gorgeous ivory-colored gown adorned with crystals and 10,000 pearls, will also be on display along with items from the bride's jewelry collection.
Other wedding gifts received will also be on display, including gifts from the groom, Prince Philip, the US president (Harry Truman), the Chinese president(Chiang Kai-Shek) and the pope (Pius XII).

Now I’m wondering what anniversary gift will this couple desire. They already have everything. What more can they ask for?
