Online RSVPs

Obviously - this was just a matter of time, but it really is an inspired idea - online rsvp's! WeddingBee's Miss Eggplant is one of the brides who has decided to offer this unique option to her guests and it has so many benefits! I love how her invitations, site and rsvp forms all follow the same pattern and make it so much simpler and quicker!

It's very complete as well. Her guests each receive a code which they enter on the RSVP site. Then, they enter details as to who is coming, what they will eat, etc. Everything is right there, and once they submit - it is emailed to the bride! All said and done!!

Of course, my concern would be those family members who do not have internet access - for some that is more then others. Is it feasible to offer both an online and traditional RSVP and let your guests choose or would that be more work then just maintaining a regular mailed RSVP? Of course, most brides will tell you that traditional RSVPs, in many cases only about 50% of the guests will actually return them on time leaving you with calls to make. It would be interesting to know if the average percentage who RSVP on time is higher with an online registry.
