I promised yesterday that I would have two posts full of ideas from the Better Homes & Gardens Christmas Ideas special issue. The two pictures above are two different decor settings they featured that I wanted to share. I love how they used non-traditional colors to create a beautiful Christmas look. Both use a lot of white, which is great for any wedding. The first setting is inspired by Christmas oranges, evergreens and hints of silver. The second setting is mainly a mix of greens and golds, but I love how the dark brown of the chairs adds a touch of deep elegance to the color scheme.
I also found some great centerpiece ideas that would work well for a wedding. I picked out a few I thought were worth sharing:) The first was actually another color idea - black and white with red touches, but the package itself would make a very unique centerpiece. I would replace the tag with a photo of the couple for a personal touch as well. The second is fairly simple project - fir branches, red carnations and buckets for a more rustic Christmas look.
The third centerpiece is another VERY simple project. It's a foam ball, covered in carnations and wrapped with a bow. Place it on a glass cake stand and VIOLA. For brides on a budget, carnations are also a very budget friendly option and this is one way that carnations can be used to create a great look without spending a fortune. The fourth and last, uses apples:) Green apples have been popular in spring and summer wedding in recent years, but I have never seen them used in a winter setting before and I love the way it turned out!!
The magazine included instructions on how to make most of the centerpieces and decor features that I have shown, including photos for brides who want to try their hands at recreating them.
