Planning your own wedding is a tasking job. Too tasking that you end up dead tired after the wedding reception. Then you don't have much time to prepare for your honeymoon. To make sure that you have everything you need before leaving, pack your bags the moment you have booked your honeymoon get-away. This way, you already know what to pack, because the destination is already settled.

If you have kids that you are leaving at home (in case you got married after you had kids), make sure you and your husband have arranged for an adult or adults who will look after them. This is the job for siblings, parents and parents-in-law. If you don't have available relatives, make sure there is a trusted friend or nanny you can rely on while you and your husband are away.

What else? If you have pets, make sure somebody will take care of them too while you are away on your honeymoon. Also, make sure that your pets have enough food, Frontline Plus and other supplies with them. As you do not only want to secure your honeymoon bag but you want to secure those you are leaving behind at home as well.
