Little Details do Count

I was enchanted by this idea spotted at InStyle Weddings: wee little mushrooms as part of your reception place settings. I think this would be perfect for outdoor weddings that take place in the spring or summer (double points if you pick them yourselves). If you plan on getting married outside, whether in a garden, beach or woodsy setting, it's nice to have the decor match. For beach weddings, seashells as part of the table decoration makes sense. You see how you can think outside the box a little and not always rely on flowers (though flowers will never go out of style).

Ideally, if you have a small, intimate ceremony, you could attend to little details like this yourself, but don't be afraid to ask for help. Even small weddings have a lot going on and brides shouldn't have to do all the work. This idea works well for a more minimalist decor instead of something opulent. If you're getting married in the spring, keep this one in mind.
