Wedding Dress

You don't want to trash your wedding dress; you want to lovingly preserve it for an indefinite period of time. So how do you go about properly storing it so that in the event your daughter wants to wear your gown at some point in the future, it's as pristine and flawless for her as it was for you? Even if you have no daughters or she doesn't want to wear your dress, you can still preserve it for your own nostalgia and enjoyment.
The Memories and Nostalgia Collection has provided a video on how to store your wedding dress so that you can do this yourself. Some of the more important tasks include:
* Having your gown cleaned ASAP after the wedding
* Using acid free tissue paper and box
* Handling your dress with clean hands
* Not using plastic for storage
* Packing train first, then skirt, then bodice
* Making sure you use enough tissue paper
* Storing in the right area (i.e., away from heat and humidity)
If you check your gown from time to time (as the video recommends), you can relive your big day each time you do so.
