Flower Ideas

We have already decided that we are going with silk flowers. It was a pretty easy choice. Our ceremony is taking place at a resort that is an hour away from the closest town big enough to even have a florist and is taking place over a weekend so all our guests will be there the day before. That means fresh flowers would have to be brought in more then 24 hours in advance, transported in the heat, and then we'd have to hope they would last until the ceremony the next evening! It could be done, but it just seems like a lot of hassle. We have two years, which means PLENTY of time to look around and find good, high quality silks to use instead.

These orchids, in green, are sort of the "theme" of our wedding - they will be in the flowers, centerpieces, on the save the dates, invitations, etc. Below is kind of what I have in mind, except I would use the green orchids instead of white. I do still want white though, so I will still need to find a white filler as well.

I also really like this boutineirre for Dave, but he doesn't like the green trails - or "frilly crap" as he called it, lol. I really like the little pussy willows in there, that would be a neat way to bring in some of the natural aspects of our location. I think this would still look okay with out the trails wouldn't it?
