Your wedding is just the beginning of your marriage. While marriage isn't always a bouquet of roses, stay away from false hopes and expectations to make it really work.

Here are a few things couples should never expect from being married:

1. Love makes the world go round. Well, you do need to love each other to stay married together but love will never be enough to make your marriage last.

2. Your partner completes you. To expect your spouse to complete you is totally unfair. Even long after you are married to each other, you will still have shortcomings and it is simply impossible to think they will all go away.

3. Sharing everything. No marriage ever works this way. It is simply unrealistic.

4. Having babies will make everything better. Babies will tie you and your partner together for a lifetime, but the first baby more often than not pushes a couple apart.

5. Everything will be all right with Mr. or Ms. Right. Being in a relationship will always take some effort from both you and your partner. There is no perfect person for anyone. You should never expect your relationship to work perfectly just because you think you have found the perfect person for you.
