If you love the look of luminaries, you'll want to check this out! It's called a Lumabase and it replaces the messy sand that is generally used to add weight to luminaries in order to keep them from blowing away. It's a small, non-flammable container that use simply fill with water and close. It has a spot on the top to hold a tea light, and you just place it at the bottom of the bag to hold it in place. No mess and completely reusable!
Feeling environmentally friendly? Instead of buying a bulk lot for your wedding and then throwing them out - ask your local wedding rental company or Wedding Planning if they will rent them to you. They can purchase them, and re-rent them to future brides as well - less garbage. Of course, if they won't you can still purchase them and then resale them afterwards rather then toss them out.
