I can't even remember where I first saw these painted custom runners but I finally found the website of the brilliant lady who makes them! The company is called Pen & Pauper Calligraphy - and yes, they also do calligraphy, invitations, etc.
The aisle runners are amazing - these are a few of the ones shown in the photo galleries. They are custom made, with flowers, designs and your names and dates - basically, whatever you wish! It makes a one of a kind, keepsake aisle runner that you are going to want to display in your home for years. There are also some pictures showing matching wall hangings made to decorate a wall at the wedding. Dave and I are not sure if we will be having an aisle runner, as our wedding is on a beach - but this is going into my "possible" folder.

we also found this site after searching exclusively for something truly unique, absolutely elegant, one of a kind and artistically designed just for us. After hours or internet searching we are convinced there is no other calligrapher in the world producing a wedding isle runner/wall hanger of this caliber and the cost compared to the competition is unbelieveable. Her name is Angela and she is a delight to talk to and work with.
