Eco-Friendly Confetti for a Green Send-off

Confetti is a fun - but not exactly friendly - wedding tradition. Rice has long become a very unpopular choice because it is said to cause illness and even death in birds who eat it afterwards. Of course, there are plenty of other options that are much more environmentally-friendly and safer to use. Here are a few to consider:
- real rose petals: Biodegradable, but they can be expensive and don't look that great once guests have been holding on to them.
- birdseed: Birdseed is a good choice because it is biodegradable and completely harmless to the birds. Of course, an over zealous relative blasting seeds in your face might not feel to great.
- Vanishing Paper - A La martha stewart
. Vanishing Paper is biodegradable paper confetti. It is available in a number of colors and shapes, and the great thing about this confetti is that it completely disintegrates when it gets wet! Photo Above: DIY Vanishing Paper Packets from Martha Stewart
