Don't Forget to Relax

Filed in archive Stress Break on April 30, 2008

Planning a wedding can be incredibly stressful, especially if you don't use the services of a wedding planner. The bigger and more elaborate your ceremony, the more stress you tend to suffer from. Don't let all the minute details of planning your big day rob you of energy and drag you down.

You have to take breaks now and then to regain your sanity and peace. Whether you want to spend a day at the spa (with or without your attendants, best friend or close family members) or just dip into your favorite manicure shop for a quick touch-up is up to you. The point is to make sure you do it.

Figure in a monthly pedicure or biweekly manicure into your wedding budget. Or a massage or a haircut. Different brides-to-be have different ways of coping with stress, so if a 10-mile run is your way of winding down after calling all over town and not finding one bakery who can create the exact same cake Eva Longoria had at her wedding, then figure new sneakers into your budget.
