Carnations - Flower of Choice?

Carnations are not generally considered an elegant option for a wedding flower - they are cheap, easy to get any time of year and very common - all facts which tend to lessen their wedding appeal. Recently, I wrote an article on my Dream Weddings on a Budget blog about carnations and while researching ideas for ways to use this budget friendly flower, I found a collection of stunning bouquets and arrangements that featured carnations as either the main flower or accent flower! Needless to say, I have gained a renewed appreciation for carnations and their ability to add to your wedding decor both affordably and tastefully all at once!

Carnations have a number of benefits besides just being cost-friendly. They come in a very wide range of colors, from solids to varigated color combinations and are available all year round. They can work great as the central flower, or as a accent flower. Their unique petals provide a very trendy textured look to bouquets and arrangements as well. Carnations are also available in a variety of sizes, from large to mini!

Is it time to give carnations another chance?
