In anticipation of the launch of their new special issue, Real Life Weddings (available June 13th), People has started a Ugliest Bridesmaid Gowns blog on their website. I found the photo above on this blog and thought it was a wonderful idea! The sister of the bride decided to throw a bachellorette party for her sister - with a twist. All the girls were required to wear the ugliest bridesmaid gown they had!! Isn't it sad to think that there are SO many ugly gowns out there!!!

I think it would also make a great Bridal shower theme - ask guests to wear the ugliest bridesmaid gowns they can find - either from their own closets or the second hand store. And then, make sure you all go out somewhere public together - and take lots of pictures.
