Breast Cancer Awareness
by Crystal Unrau on October 13, 2007

I have mentioned Brides Against Breast Cancer before, during our series on What To Do With That Dress earlier this year. Since this is Breast Cancer Awareness Week, I thought this would be the perfect time to give them another look.
Brides Against Breast Cancer is a fundraising initiative of the Making Memories Foundation. They collect new and gently used wedding gowns donated by past brides and bridal salons. These gowns are then sold at special events hosted around the country, and the funds raised are used to assist in breast cancer research, support and awareness causes.
They also run the Pink Envelope Program, which allows you to offer your friends and families a chance to get involved. You can use them in your invitations, at your bridal shower, or with your wedding favors.
