Beginning To Plan

My husband and I were married in May of 1999. We had a 200 guest garden wedding with a full dinner and dance - all planned within 2 weeks. It was nice - but when you plan on such a short time frame, you take what you can get - so it wasn't "us". Every since then, we have discussed the possibility of redoing the whole thing and we have finally decided that for our 10 year anniversary - we will be doing just that!!! We have another two years to wait - but we have decided to start planning now so we can have it our way this time:)

We started this month by booking a location. There is a small lodge about 4 hours from here where we go for Dave's birthday weekend every year. It is small - 7 cabins for a total of possible guests - and it has a private beach. We have booked out the entire resort, so we will be having our families stay with us for that weekend. We will be having the ceremony on the beach (shown above) but there is also a camping area next to the resort with a large clearing that we are Renting to set up a tent in case of rain. We will be inviting extended family and friends to join us for the day as well.

We still have TONS to do - all we have done so far is book the location. Next I need to send out save the date cards, and start working on a budget. I will keep posting as we go along:)
