Saturday, June 19 at the Queen's Chapel in St James', London, Lady Rose Windsor said 'I do' to George Gilman - theirs is the second UK royal wedding of the year.
Lady Rose Windsor, the 28-year-old daughter of the Duke of Gloucester, the Queen's cousin, was married yesterday to George Gilman, the son of Peter Gilman, a former director of Leeds United football club.
The bride, who is a film art assistant, wore a tiara that belonged to Queen Mary, the wife of George V and her great grandmother, above a couture white dress for the ceremony at the Queen's Chapel in St James's, London.
It's just funny how reports seem to focus on the attendance of Kate Middleton as girlfriend of Prince William and Princess Anne's recycling of a dress she wore in the 1981 Lady Diana-Prince Charles wedding - and not much on the bride and groom. But then I guess that's just how royalty watchers are. Besides, Lady Rose Windsor isn't the Queen's daughter!
Luckily there are some photos of the wedding I got here, one I posted above.
Well, except for the bride's family name -Windsor - this young couple can pass as normal people that got married. I especially love the simplicity of the bride's gown.
