$400K Floral Error?

Every bride wants their wedding to be perfect - and in reality, it never is. Something will also go wrong, though usually they are smaller things. The weddings that are the most memorable and less stressful are the ones where the bride and groom simply plan the best they can, and then go with the flow on the day off. But hey - if that doesn't work for you - give lawyer Elana Glatt a call and take the culprits to court for $400K.
It seems a little absurd but that's what she is doing. After spending $28,000 of her $60,000 wedding budget on flowers - hydrangeas to be exact - she is suing the floral company because she claims they were the wrong color. She requested green and rust
, and they were green and pink. She also claims they where wilted and the vases were dusty. The roses and orchids that accompanied were also apparently tired and distressed-looking.To be honest, my first response when I read about it on The Ink Spot was "get a grip!." If you get poor quality, fight for a refund or some sort or repayment of course - but $370K more then you spent? Don't you think MAYBE that's putting a little bit to much importance on the floral part of the day, which really ISN'T what it was all about in the first place. But then I read a bit more on Manolo that she actually did at first post a very reasonable request for a mere $4000 refund of the $28,000 paid but the florist ignored her request! So know I am kind of on the fence - if the florist did indeed provide less then high quality, for a $28,000 customer, and then refused a small $4000 refund - she might just deserve a bit of a severe law suit to get her attention.
What do you think? Is the florist getting what they deserve or is this an extreme case of Bridezilla?
